I want to thank each of you who have participated in the National Mobility contest by voting for the kiddos and I for a chance to win an adaptive van. Winning a van of course would be amazing! However, win or lose – the love, support, and encouragement I have felt throughout this competition has been so touching. The GREAT news is that we made it into the top 10% and WILL be moving into round two. All of the participants’ stories now go before a panel that will determine the three winners.
The National Mobility site states that the winners will be notified “on or around” May 21st – which just happens to be the FIVE year anniversary of the day Brooklyn was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Diagnosis day is one of “those days” on the calendar which is always tough….so news like this would FOR SURE brighten the day!
