Remember back in May when so many of you were voting everyday for a chance for the kiddos and me to win an adaptive van? I know you were all SO BUMMED that we did not win but I promise, the entire experience was amazing for us. Seeing all of your support was so humbling and inspiring. Part of that experience was meeting Traci Garman at Superior Van & Mobility in Fort Wayne. She read my sister’s local hero submission and learned more about us. When she found out we were not one of the three lucky winners we connected and she was able to help me start my search for a van. We of course are not the easiest people to shop for – nothing too new (we can’t afford the $65,000+ price tag) and nothing too old (I need something safe and trustworthy for my precious cargo!) I had told her I was putting off my search actually – it is exhausting (mostly for her!) Then out of the blue I get an email from her which said she found something PERFECT for us. It was a 2005 Town & Country with under 26,000 miles on it, one owner and in GREAT shape.
Sounded too good to be true.
But…Jon and I went down to Fort Wayne to check it out and it was a GREAT van and a GREAT price. I need to insert a huge <THANK YOU> to Jon, without him this would NOT be possible. He was able to get the financing which I would not have been able to do on my own and with the help of Tracy and the great financing team we came up with payments I can afford and now…..
This is ME behind the wheel of our new ADAPTIVE van.

I am not the only one THRILLED with the new ride :) Brookie loves it – you should have seen her face when we were showing her college friends….grinning from ear to ear! The new wheels got a thumbs up from her cousin Jackson too – who thinks a ramp into a van is “A.W.E.S.O.M.E”

I think her favorite part is riding up closer to the front and she loves the great view from her seat!!

Something like this is truly life changing. I really do not have any other words to describe it. Thank you all for your continued prayers, encouragement and support! Now…I think I will log off and take Brookie for a ride ;)

Such great news, makes my heart sing!
