Girls Day

I have been a little bit of a slacker mom when it comes to having friends over to hang out this summer so I tried to make up for it and have some friends over to hang out today…it was a BLAST! We were waiting for everyone to arrive so we chilled out and watched some Good Luck Charlie – it is amazing how much more fun watching tv is when your girlfriends are over :)

Brooklyn loves watching her friends jump on the trampoline, giggles all around!

If only she could tell me what was going on in that beautiful head of hers…I am pretty sure today she was thinking how she has some pretty amazing friends!

I love that all of her friends take turns making sure Brookie gets included in the fun and games.

Her friends thought her bike was “WAY COOL!” Yes, we allow bike riding IN the house around here!

Since the first day of school is just around the corner, we thought that it might be fun to make book marks!

They turned out so great, some of the girls made two – one to take home and one for Brookie!

Pizza for lunch! Poor Jackson did not know how to react to all these girlies! Aunt Kristin came over to join in the fun so she could get to know the girls (some of them will have Mrs. Sheets this fall!!)

After lunch the girls wanted to put on a play – they LOVED Boston’s little farm set.

I loved hearing all the giggles (and the crazy plots for the play) coming from Brooklyn’s room!

Remember that group photo? We turned them in to coloring sheets – too fun!

I am sure there are not many moms that find joy in cleaning up their daughter’s messy bedroom – but today – it was the highlight of my day, my week actually. I love that Brooklyn has made such amazing friends – every little girl deserves giggles, pretend plays, and arts and crafts with their girlfriends! My heart is full!
