Boston had a great birthday! We decided on no real “party” just family. This year no one wrapped their gifts (he HATES to unwrap – too much sensory stuff) – My nephew (in the picture) hung out in the hot tub while we set out his gifts (a trampoline, a tent, wiggles movies and helium balloons all around the room)
He had pudding instead of cake made with almond milk (he is dairy free and doesn’t chew.) In the past I tried to force the cake thing but ended up cleaning cake out of the carpet, not worth it!
It was PERFECT he squealed and giggled ALL DAY.
It’s funny – in the past I tried to have more of a typical birthday but that did not work – Boston hated it – and really we were both stressed out! What kind of celebration is that??!?! This year we did it Boston’s way and it was the first birthday we BOTH enjoyed. #HAPPYBIRTHDAYINDEED
Great job mama, its so hard to break out of the typical traditions, but the proof is in the pudding!!! So happy you both had a wonderful day. Here’s to many Happy Birthdays ahead.
